Senior Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team in Sydney and are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to join the team.

In terms of our tech stack, we're hosted on AWS containerised in Kubernetes. In the containers, we run our servers with Java / Kotlin connecting to PostgreSQL databases. Our clients use React and Typescript.
What you will bring to the role:
- Robust coding practices including, writing clean well structured code, automated tests, and managing source control.
- A sense of ownership of our code base and systems. Deep understanding of why design and architectural decisions are made.
- Ensuring product features are being delivered effectively as measured by lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, mean time to resolution and number of bugs in production.
- Experience implementing and using distributed event-driven architectures.
- Cloud development (we are hosted on AWS).
- Containerisation (Docker and/or Kubernetes would be great).
- Strong fundamental knowledge of OO and Functional programming paradigms.
- Ability to develop technical solutions and to communicate them effectively.
