Our Development finance team have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for delivering financial management and processes for one of Sydney’s iconic precinct project. You will work closely with your Finance Manager and Business Partners to ensure that project financial outcomes are reported accurately and in a timely manner.
Key tasks in this role will include:

Supporting monthly financial reporting processes, including updates of the Commercial Assessment for actuals and forecast adjustments, and ensuring that an accurate forecast position is reflected in Monthly Operational Reports and TM1.

Month end management duties including checking ledgers and calculating and posting monthly journals.

Working with the project teams to support project cost reporting and cash forecasting.

Joint Venture financial reporting and support, including the preparation of Funding Calls.

Maintaining TM1 to ensure it reflects the latest cost budgets.

Preparation of half year and full year project statutory submissions.

Providing financial input and analysis for project operational processes including leasing proposals.

Liaising with offshore team on any reconciliation issues and fixes.
About you:

Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualifications with experience in financial reporting, financial planning & analytics, or a related field.

Experience in an accountant role, and/or sound commercial acumen and understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.

Confident and motivated self-starter with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Excellent priority management skills.

Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide others in the resolution of problems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Strong excel and system skills experience will be highly regarded.
