About the Opportunity

This is a Senior Finance Manager that demands execution excellence: from standing up local financial infrastructure, to shaping cost management frameworks, to ensuring regulatory readiness.

You will partner with regional and global teams to integrate local operations into group reporting and provide financial insights that inform strategic decisions. Ultimately, you will ensure Finance is a strategic execution engine that underpins growth, compliance, and operational resilience in Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • End-to-End Finance Ownership
Lead accounting, tax, internal controls, cost management, accounts payable, management reporting, and regulatory reporting across all Australian entities.

  • Execution of Local Infrastructure
Establish and lead the local banking infrastructure and financial processes required for customer fiat on-ramps and day-to-day operations.

  • Audit & Regulatory Stewardship
Oversee external audits and regulatory inquiries, ensuring proactive engagement with ATO, ASIC, and other authorities. Build processes that anticipate and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Group Integration
Execute month-end closing and group reporting within tight timelines, embedding Australian financials seamlessly into the consolidated group framework.

  • Strategic Cost Management
Localize and operationalize the group cost management system, creating automated workflows for AP and expense control to ensure efficiency and scalability.

  • Controls & Governance
Establish and enforce strong internal controls around financial reporting and operational processes, embedding compliance and risk management into business-as-usual.

  • Data-Driven Insights
Develop and automate reporting and analytics to deliver timely, actionable insights to senior leadership, linking financial outcomes to business strategy.

  • Expansion Enablement
Act as a strategic partner to the business by providing financial execution support for market expansion, new products, and operational initiatives in Australia.

What We Look For In You:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with 10+ years’ leadership experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto

  • Proven ability to design and execute finance operating models in fast-scaling environments.

  • Deep expertise in IFRS, consolidations, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and Australian tax and regulatory frameworks.

  • Experience navigating AFS licensing requirements and embedding compliance into operational execution.

  • Track record in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance reporting that drives decision-making.

  • Strong grasp of cost management frameworks and ability to build systematic AP processes integrated with global systems.

  • A leader who thrives in execution-heavy, fast-paced environments, balancing strategic thinking with operational discipline.

  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end, with the ability to land outcomes on time.

  • A natural problem solver and independent operator who can anticipate needs, take ownership, and execute to completion.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders and distill complexity into clear, actionable insights.
