As a Senior Financial Accountant – Financial Reporting, you'll be a senior member of the team responsible for the preparation, review, risk management and control processes in relation to Financial Reporting including Head Office reporting. This includes the management of the Annual report including Statutory report and Sustainability report.
This is a great opportunity to help enhance our financial reporting function, help mentor and guide junior team members and uplift the processes and controls around how this team operates.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure Financial reporting and relevant Head Office reporting are delivered within designated timeframes and quality complied with Group policy and internal control policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Group Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Policy
  • Function as the SMEs in Finance for Head office reporting related projects
  • Process improvement around Head Office reporting and financial reporting
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and seamless completion of audit.
  • Monitoring, design and implementation of continuous process improvements covering external reporting

What we’re looking for

  • Accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent, with minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
  • A degree in a business-related discipline, with specific finance and accounting emphasis
  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements pertaining to the Financial Services industry
  • Experience in the creation of the Annual report including Statutory report and Sustainability report.
  • Strong understanding of AASB and IFRS
  • Financial Reporting experience in Banking and Financial Services
