The Senior Financial Accountant’s primary responsibility is to manage the general ledger for group of companies in Quantium which includes reviewing results for accuracy. The role will support the completion of monthly financial reporting to the CFO and other external joint venture partners. The role will require you to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the global business, in multiple time zones and geographies

 

How will you make an impact? 
  • Financial reporting, managing the General Ledger including ensuring the accuracy of the numbers (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow) for both internal and external reporting.
  • GL Integrity, ensure monthly reconciliation and review of all balance sheet accounts and timely resolution of variances.
  • Working with the wider finance team, work with other team leads in documenting process improvements and ensuring efficiencies within the teams.
  • Internal reporting requirements, managing relationships with internal stakeholders including the delivery of timely and accurate internal reports.
  • Monthly Management Accounts, assist with the timely and accurate reporting to the group financial controller of consolidated monthly results with commentary / analyses of balance sheet movements and income statement variances against budget / forecast.
key activities 
  • Monthly review of P&L and assist in preparation of CFO report.
  • Monthly reconciliation of allocated GL accounts and review of all balance sheet reconciliations, including resolving differences on a timely basis
  • Monthly processing of salary related journals in all Quantium entities
  • Drive improvements in process and efficiencies in the finance team
  • Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with external audits
  • Assisting with compliance of ad hoc internal and external reporting requirements
  • Other ad-Hoc requests made by Financial Controller & Lead financial accountant.
The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:
  • CA/CPA Qualified with 5+ years’ work experience in a large corporate company
  • Prior experience in developing process improvements
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication, time management and presentation skills and ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Curiosity with experience and willingness in challenging the status quo
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
