We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Australia. This role will be instrumental towards enhancing our Australia and Asia-Pacific operations; ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency as we scale our presence across APAC. You will work closely with the local and global finance and accounting teams, providing essential support for day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and intercompany balances.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns (GST, BAS, FBT, Income Tax), working closely with external tax advisors and the HQ Tax team.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, providing explanations, and collaborating with external auditors.
- Support the local Australian R&D Tax Incentive claim process.
- Assist in the development and execution of cash flow forecasts.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement best practices, and improve system efficiencies in our new ERP (Oracle Fusion).
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments both locally in Australia and across Anduril's head office and other global offices.
- Contribute to building out the accounting team as we scale.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- CA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- An understanding of both AASB and IFRS.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Experience with process improvement with an eye for enhancing efficiency, streamlining workflows and implementing best practices within accounting operations.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working within a global organization.
- US GAAP experience.
- Oracle Fusion or another large ERP system experience.
