Key Responsibilities
- Carry out investment appraisals, feasibility studies, market research, country research etc. on products/partners so as to provide information for management decision making and for the information of the board on all investments, divestments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions
- Support with regards to new ventures e.g. incorporating the company, BOI negotiations, Bank negotiations, capital structures etc. so as to ensure timely and effective set-up
- Managing foreign exchange risk by monitoring micro & macro-economic conditions in Sri Lanka & globally
- Evaluate project proposals and capital investments submitted by business units, ensuring they comply with company/customer/statutory requirements and ensuring strategic fit to SBU/Group
- Consolidating business information for management review & periodically analyzing such information to propose solutions where the performance varies from plan.
Qualifications, Experience, Skill, and Competencies:
- Degree/ professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics, CIMA or Chartered
- MBA/CFA would be preferred
- 4-5 years' work experience (in finance / banking would be an advantage)
