The Role

Please note, this is a 6 month FTC.

As our Senior Financial Planning & Analytics Analyst, you will hold a unique seat on our JAPAC Finance team. Using your business acumen, creativity, and financial skills, you will generate insights to allow MiQ to quickly assess where we are succeeding and where we can improve. You will be involved in projects from inception to delivery, we want your input and data to tell us how MiQ can intelligently grow our global business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & KPI Management

  • Own and manage end-to-end weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI reports for JAPAC.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data and insights for leadership.
  • Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to provide variance analysis and key trends.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
  • Build financial models for supporting forecast and investment decisioning based on historicals, sales pipeline and management input
  • Play a key role in providing financial insights and building KPI reports to support new market expansion across JAPAC
  • Work with accounting to analyze P&L, cash position, AR & AP, and FX to provide guidance on business

Payroll, Bonus & Commission Processing

  • Process Australia payroll, ensuring accuracy in payments and compliance with local regulations.
  • Calculate and reconcile bonuses, commissions, and accruals, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll execution and reporting.

FP&A Projects & Process Improvement

  • Lead and support FP&A projects to enhance reporting, forecasting, and analytics capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting and processes across JAPAC.
  • Standardize KPI reports and financial processes across different markets for consistency and efficiency.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with local/central finance teams, HR, and commercial teams to align financial planning and reporting.
  • Support leadership with financial insights to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards across all reporting activities.

What you bring to it

  • 5-8 years work experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CPA/CA Qualified
  • Excel mastery and proven experience in building strong financial models required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence
  • Extremely strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
  • Strong communications skills
  • A growth mindset and an ability to navigate regional expansion
  • Project and time management skills
  • A proactive and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system and business environment

  • Proven experience in business partnering with commercial teams
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
