The Opportunity
Take the lead in shaping the future of flood risk management and engineering within AED projects across Australia. This role is your opportunity to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions for flood mitigation, resilience, and management.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to flood risk assessments, designs, and mitigation projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and standards. Apply expertise in flood modelling and hydraulic analysis using tools like TUFLOW.
Collaborate on innovative engineering solutions, support technical problem-solving, and promote best practices. Assist in preparing reports and proposals for clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
Perform detailed assessments and help design mitigation infrastructure such as levees, culverts, and flood diversion systems. Stay current with industry advancements to enhance project outcomes and regulatory compliance
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field.
Experience in flood engineering, hydrology and flood risk management
Proven track record of leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex flood-related projects.
Extensive experience with flood modelling software (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC-RAS and similar tools).
Strong understanding of Australian flood regulations, standards, and local government policies
