Join our Fraud Analytics team and play a key role in protecting the business and its customers from fraud and financial crime. You’ll leverage data, optimise detection systems, and deliver timely insights that directly influence decision-making and strengthen our defences.
What Does An Average Day Look Like?
No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:
- Analyse fraud trends and develop detection strategies that balance risk and customer experience
- Optimise fraud and financial crime controls through continuous improvement and collaboration
- Partner on projects to define requirements, support testing, and manage change activities
- Perform data analysis and develop clear reporting to support decision-making and fraud oversight
- Manage priorities independently, delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines and proactively flagging risks
Who will thrive in this role?
This role is ideal for an experienced analyst ready to step up, with a strong foundation in data and a passion for tackling fraud within complex financial environments.
We’re also looking for someone who brings:
- 5+ years’ experience in banking, insurance, fintech, or financial services, with exposure to fraud, credit risk or financial crime (2+ years)
- Strong technical capability in at least one of Python, SQL, or SAS, with experience in data analysis, modelling, and insight generation
- Proven experience building, deploying, and monitoring models and/or developing fraud or financial crime detection rules
- Ability to mentor others, manage analytical projects, and engage effectively with stakeholders to solve problems
- Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering) and strong communication and data visualisation skills (Power BI preferred)
