About the Team
The Presentations Editing Team at Canva is responsible for shaping the core user experience around creating and editing presentation designs. As part of the Editing Group within the broader Visual Suite, the team plays a pivotal role in enhancing Presentations-one of the most-used template types at Canva. We collaborate closely with our counterparts in Editing, Video, and Collaboration to ensure seamless workflows that empower users to design and present with ease.
While we've already shipped world-class products, we're just getting started. With an ambitious roadmap ahead, we're focused on taking Presentations to the next level-to redefine what's possible. If you're passionate about crafting intuitive, cutting-edge tools that transform the way people communicate ideas, this is one of the teams to be on!
This may be a great role for you if ...
- You have experience working with some of the tools in our frontend stack - JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, MobX, etc.
- Are firmly grounding in computer science and engineering fundamentals including concurrency, multithreading, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.
- Have a passion for great UX, storytelling and collaboration.
- Have cross-browser knowledge as we are often driving changes that may have implications across many different browsers, devices, and modalities.
- Have worked as part of a design system.
- Have worked to build and ship impactful product and/or changes.
- Consideration for performance, especially as it relates to a great product experience.
