Who is Quantium?

Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

About the role

Our Retail Product Engineering team supports the Checkout AI roadmap, one of Quantium's key product initiatives. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll bring strong software engineering fundamentals across the stack, with the opportunity to help shape how AI-powered product features are built and delivered at Quantium.

How will you make an impact?
  • Full stack delivery: Design, build and maintain high-quality features and services across the stack
  • Technical ownership: Take ownership of components end-to-end, from design through to build, testing and delivery
  • Quality and craft: Bring strong engineering practices to the team, including testing, code review and continuous improvement
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with engineers and stakeholders across the squad, sharing knowledge and raising the bar on delivery
  • Problem solving: Bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to complex technical challenges
The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team
  • Full stack engineering experience: Strong, senior-level experience across the stack, with a back-end leaning skillset; comfortable working across a mix of Python and .NET
  • Quality engineering mindset: Experience with testing frameworks and quality practices; exposure to emerging practices for building quality into AI-assisted engineering workflows (sometimes called "harness engineering") is highly regarded
  • Openness to AI tooling: A genuine interest in and openness to using AI coding tools and best practices as part of your daily workflow; this isn't a deep AI/ML specialism, but active resistance to AI-assisted ways of working won't be the right fit for this team
  • Stakeholder comfort: Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders within Quantium, even though this role doesn't carry external client-facing responsibilities

Remember - you might not tick all the boxes, but don't let that stop you from applying. We're more interested in how you work, your ability to solve problems and think big.

What could your Quantium Experience look like?

Working at Quantium will allow you to challenge your imagination. You will get to solve complex problems using rigor, precision and by asking great questions – but it also means you can think big, outside the box and push your problem-solving skills to the max.

By joining the Quantium team, you’ll get to:

  • Forge your path: So many of our team have moved around different teams or offices. You’ll be in the driver’s seat, and we empower you to make your career your own.
  • Find your kind: Embrace diversity and connect with your tribe (think foodies, dog lovers, readers, or runners).
  • Make an impact: Leave your mark. Your contributions resonate, regardless of your role or rank.
But wait, there’s more!

We’ve got some pretty sweet perks:

  • Flexible work arrangements: Achieve work life balance at your own pace with hybrid and flexible work arrangements.
  • Continuous learning: Our vision is empowering analytics talent to thrive. The Analytics Community fosters the development of individuals, thought leadership and technical excellence at Quantium through building strong connections, fostering collaboration, and co-creation of best practice.
  • Remote working: Option to work in another country for up to 30 calendar days per year -- balancing your career with the freedom to work globally. Eligibility criteria apply
