Position Summary

We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Electronics Australia to make a difference as our Senior Growth Lead in the Online Business (OB) division.
This role is both strategic and operational, where you will take ownership of the Samsung paid media channels and be a key enabler to drive the execution of Samsung's online strategy. This role will be responsible for developing and refining Samsung product positioning, identifying market opportunities across different paid channels.
This is the ideal role for a digitally savvy paid media leader who welcomes the prospect to thrive in an environment where change and challenge is welcome.

Role and Responsibilities

Ownership of Growth and Acquisition Channels

  • Performance media strategy including performance audits, forecasting results and channel and budget recommendations

  • Accountable for delivering against all central divisional briefs, ensuring our campaigns deliver against our commercial objectives to support our Samsung eStore growth

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of digital initiatives. (such as increase media effectiveness and increase cross-sell of mobile customer to other categories)

  • End to end ownership of paid media channels, including search, social, and affiliates marketing

Strategic Leadership

  • Initiate, lead, and deliver the performance marketing Strategy & Roadmap within Samsung Digital Channels (including Search, social, display, and affiliates).

  • Drive the strategic integration of paid performance, aligned with business strategy (B2C and B2B) and other marketing touchpoints, and across the full marketing funnel.

  • Lead change in the organisation for improving results and ways of working

Delivery

  • Lead and manage the long-term Online Business paid program, across multiple paid touch points, and continuous innovation of the paid media strategy

  • Lead and manage the paid media framework. Work in close partnership with Regional Office OB Marketing and paid media to build meaningful strategy and campaigns execution.

  • Lead the activation of Samsung first party data and champion the channel orchestration framework.

  • Lead, manage, and optimise the complex paid media campaigns for various launches, seasonal, and always on.

  • Deliver against our commercial objectives to support our Samsung eStore growth e.g. increasing ROI, increasing cross-sell, contributing to OB sales.

Stakeholder / Project Management

  • Work within a complex, multi-vendor framework

  • Engage and co-ordinate with multiple parts of the organisation (Sales, Customer Service, Product Divisions, eCommerce, etc.) and partner agencies to help define short and long term strategy for paid media

  • A great attitude and openness is needed to navigate in this multi-cultural environment, understanding when to push and when to pull is a must.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong marketing background (15+ years) with proven digital marketing experience

  • 10+ years of experience with paid media / affiliates marketing/ data-driven marketing

  • Expertise in developing and selling-in new propositions & business cases

  • Implemented paid media marketing plans across various digital touchpoints to drive sales and conversion

  • Strong agency / team management skills; comfortable leading multi-cultural teams, providing both strategic and hands-on operational feedback and evidence of driving results.

  • Good understanding of paid media tools (GA, META, SA360, DV360, etc.)
