As a Senior High Voltage (HV) Design Engineer, you will help shape the future of AirTrunk’s high‑performance data centre campuses across APAC. You will guide HV network design, drive technical excellence, and integrate emerging technologies to support large‑scale, energy‑intensive environments.
What You’ll Do- Peer‑review and develop AirTrunk’s HV standards, specifications, and technical requirements
- Lead HV network design across new and existing campuses, including substation design, MV distribution, SCADA, earthing, and DC systems
- Partner with Supply Authorities to manage transmission‑to‑distribution voltage transformations for 100MW+ campuses
- Support site selection, masterplanning, and technology integration (BESS, solar, embedded generation)
- Provide technical input during design, construction, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and continuous‑improvement initiatives
- Travel within APAC for factory testing and site engagements
- Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with professional engineering registration
- Extensive HV engineering experience delivering 100MW+ projects, with strong exposure to transmission, distribution, and energy retailing
- Technical expertise across HV systems—including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, SCADA, and power system tools such as ETAP or PSCAD
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex electrical designs
- A collaborative, organised, and solutions‑focused working style, with confidence engaging stakeholders across teams and regions
