Our Australian Geotechnical team continues to grow to deliver our strong pipeline of projects in the water, energy and defence markets, including state critical power projects, city critical water projects and local infrastructure projects.

The opportunity

Beca’s hydrogeology team in Australia is growing and remains close to our highly regarded New Zealand team. 

As we continue to make a positive impact on the day-to-day life of the communities that we live in.  We’re looking for Senior Hydrogeologists who are ready for their next career move to join our Sydney team. 

You will be working immediately alongside seasoned Hydrogeologists, Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologists and Contamination Specialists, interfacing with market and project leaders within the business. 

In addition to supporting the development of water supply from groundwater sources and undertaking hydrogeological impact assessment for a wide range of engineering projects, our hydrogeologists are skilled at identifying, evaluating, mapping, modelling and monitoring the effects of construction on groundwater and developing mitigation strategies and design solutions. We also design ground source heating and cooling systems and consider contaminant plume mobility and fate

Depending on your experience, your duties could include:  

  • Managing and delivering projects with support from our technical specialists
  • Liaising with clients and project management
  • Preparing technical proposals and reports with senior review
  • Designing, planning, supervise, and manage hydrogeological field investigation and monitoring programs
  • Assisting with or carrying out data analysis and interpretation
  • Undertaking hydrogeological conceptualisation and carrying out numerical / analytical groundwater modelling.

About you

You love to learn and share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You are a Hydrogeologist with passion and enthusiasm for field work. Having recently completed a graduate programme in a similar consulting or contracting environment; you have grown your skills, including fieldwork in various geological conditions and developed project management skills particularly in project planning and deliverables of a technical complexity.
