Senior Infrastructure Administrator
RSM Sydney – National IT Team

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join our Sydney-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad technology stack, contribute to strategic projects, and help shape the future of IT infrastructure at RSM.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. You’ll be involved in everything from day-to-day operations to long-term planning and project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure across servers, networks, and security platforms
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Leading infrastructure upgrades and enhancements
- Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Driving infrastructure and security projects from planning through to implementation
- Managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Supporting vulnerability management and patching activities
- Contributing to IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives
- Collaborating with vendors and assisting with contract management
- Mentoring junior team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning
About you:
What we’re looking for
We’re after someone who is technically strong, solutions-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes. You’ll bring:
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA); Azure certifications highly regarded
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar infrastructure or systems administration role
- Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, and security best practices
- Hands-on experience with Azure, M365, VMware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sentinel, and SD-WAN
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Shell)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused mindset
