The opportunity
Lead an international IT audit team to shape strategy, strengthen governance, and drive risk management across critical technology domains. In this senior leadership role, you’ll influence top stakeholders and deliver high-impact assurance that protects and enables business success.
Your new role
As an Senior IT Internal Audit Manager, you’ll partner with the Head of Internal Audit – IT to design and deliver the Global and Divisional IT audit strategy and plan. Leading a team of skilled IT auditors, you’ll oversee audits across IT governance, strategy, architecture, infrastructure, application development and maintenance, and cyber security. You’ll also play a key role in building technical expertise within the global team, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
Your day-to-day will include:
Building strong stakeholder relationships with Group IT leaders, Divisional CIO, and IT leadership teams to deliver high-quality, value-added assurance work.
Coaching and mentoring IT auditors, helping them grow their skills and deliver exceptional audit outcomes.
Driving risk management and governance evaluations, ensuring business areas meet compliance and performance requirements.
Leading change initiatives to enhance technology and improve efficiency and effectiveness of Internal Audit activities.
Collaborating with senior IT stakeholders to understand priorities and manage expectations.
Shaping frameworks and best practices, reducing risk and improving the effectiveness of internal controls across QBE IA and related frameworks.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Extensive experience in IT risk and internal audit leadership roles.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Proven stakeholder relationship management expertise.
Advanced knowledge of risk management principles and IT governance.
Ability to interpret legislation and translate complex requirements for diverse audiences.
