About the Role
As Senior Legal Counsel for Perpetual Wealth Management, you will partner with key internal business partners, ensuring a high level of customer service to Perpetual Wealth Management’s clients and potential clients. You will deliver legal advice, solutions and outcomes within agreed timeframes, in all aspects in which Perpetual acts in various fiduciary capacities such as trustee, financial manager or administrator and executor in all jurisdictions across Australia including:
charitable trusts.
Native Title trusts.
compensation trusts and the various financial management regimes for injured persons.
wills and estate administration (including testamentary and Special Disability Trusts).
trust property transactions.
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
A bachelor’s degree in law and a current practicing certificate, or admission to practice as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction.
Relevant litigation experience in trusts and estates with demonstrable estate administration work experience, experience in philanthropic matters, advanced research skills and advanced legal drafting skills.
Experience in the financial services industry with transactional and compliance/regulatory experience of funds management, retail advice and/or wealth management products and platforms would be favourably viewed.
