Today, we’re busy planning for tomorrow. We look to the future to guide the way we innovate, helping the Qantas Group to stay relevant and responsive in an evolving industry.

As the Senior LMO Manager, International and Commercial, you will lead Qantas Engineering’s offshore maintenance operations across a network of international locations. This pivotal role oversees aircraft maintenance, and rapid aircraft recovery - delivering safe, compliant, and commercially sound outcomes for both Qantas and third-party clients.

You’ll be responsible for people leadership, safety, regulatory compliance (CASA Part 145, FAA, TSA, Customs), commercial performance, and customer satisfaction. With a strong focus on strategic direction, you’ll drive transformation initiatives, manage union relationships, and ensure business continuity across a globally distributed workforce.

You’ll have –

  • Proven expertise in airline operations, aircraft maintenance, and/or continuing airworthiness
  • Strong track record in organisational leadership, project and change management, people management, and commercial negotiations
  • Extensive experience managing and leading within highly unionised environments across multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to manage and build strong working relationships with unions
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to foster trust and engagement across all levels of the business
  • Thorough understanding of Civil Aviation regulations and other frameworks governing industrial workforce management (WH&S, Industrial Relations, Environment, EEO etc.)
  • Demonstrated capability in driving and implementing transformational change in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across international operational settings
