The opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and influential Senior Manager to provide 2nd line oversight on AUSPAC’s Transformation agenda & Modernisation Program. You’ll help uplift risk culture, strengthen program governance, and ensure QBE has clear visibility of key risks across one of the most significant transformation agendas in the business. You’ll partner with senior transformation leaders, challenge and influence decision‑making, and deliver insightful reporting to executives and the Board. This is a rare opportunity to shape how risk is understood, managed and embedded across a large‑scale, multi‑year change portfolio.

Your new role
In this role, you will:
Provide 2nd line oversight and challenge across the AUSPAC Transformation agenda and Modernisation Program.
Advise senior leaders on risk and control matters, influencing decision‑making and uplift of risk culture.
Develop meaningful indicators, dashboards and reporting to enhance transformation risk visibility.
Assess and challenge the effectiveness of governance, controls and risk processes across agile and waterfall delivery.
Contribute to deep dives, integrated assurance activities and high‑quality 2nd line reporting to executives and the Board.
Build strong relationships, support capability uplift, and role‑model QBE’s DNA values through constructive challenge and engagement.
About you
Proven experience managing risk within large‑scale transformation or complex change
Deep understanding of enterprise risk frameworks and the 3‑lines model
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Strong analytical judgement and problem‑solving capability
Ability to coach, build capability and uplift risk culture across diverse stakeholder groups
Practical experience applying risk and control practices across both agile and waterfall delivery environments
