Job Description

Our client’s success is our success. And you make it happen

Ever tapped your phone to buy a morning coffee, or made a purchase from your favourite online store? Chances are, we’ve made it happen.

At Cuscal, we’ve been at the forefront of payments innovation for almost 60 years, enabling seamless, secure solutions that millions of Australians rely on every day. From launching Australia’s first ATM to being the first certified Australian fast payments Payer and Initiator in 2022, we’ve always pushed boundaries — and we’re not stopping now.

We are a listed public company (ASX:CCL) with full direct connectivity and production capability across all domestic payment systems. Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Client Partnerships to lead our Client Partnership Management team focusing on our ADI clients.

The Senior Manager, Client Partnerships is a senior leadership role within Cuscal’s Client Partnerships team, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across Cuscal’s core product domains - including Payments, Card Issuing, Data and Financial Crime. With a focus on our ADI clients, the role will drive exceptional client experiences, be the voice of the Client in Cuscal and enable Cuscal’s and clients’ growth.

This is a highly visible role across Cuscal, with responsibilities sitting across four key areas:

1) Client Relationship Management

  • Own and manage direct relationships with ADI clients, including day-to-day engagement, governance, and Client Business Reviews.

  • Act as the voice for the ADI client segment, driving strategic improvements in client servicing and operational efficiency.

  • Act as the senior contact point for clients and handle escalations for client-related issues.

  • Provide strategic direction and support for contract negotiations, including competitive pricing agreements.

2) Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and support a team of Client Partnership Managers, including performance management, coaching, and role clarity.

  • Foster a workplace culture aligned with Cuscal’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Empower employees through accountability, and regular feedback.

  • Champion initiatives that enhance service delivery and create process efficiencies.

3) Strategic Account Planning

  • Guide the team in developing and executing account plans, client presentations, and renewal strategies.

  • Employ strategic approaches to improve client advocacy and revenue growth.

  • Partner with internal teams (Client Success, Servicing, Risk, Compliance, ETS, Product Domains, Marketing) to meet client expectations and contractual obligations.

  • Collaborate with Product Domains and Business Development to identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.

4) Financial Management

  • Support business planning and forecasting processes.

  • Manage within approved financial plans and budgets.

  • Analyse and optimise client portfolio for mutually beneficial outcomes.

About You:

You’re a seasoned client partnership leader, skilled at building high performing teams, managing complex portfolios, negotiating client agreements, and engaging senior executives with clear, influential communication. You will have the below experience and skills:
