About the role:
We are seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong finance leader to join as Senior Manager, Commercial Finance (ARR & Payments Owner). This role will be the guardian of ARR accuracy and methodology and a commercial finance lead across SaaS and Payments revenue streams.
You will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close and re-forecasting cycle, and play a central role in the annual planning process. As the company matures, you will document and evolve ARR methodology, own payments data definitions in the warehouse, and partner with Data and RevOps to ensure metrics are consistent, automated, and actionable.
You will also shape the financial lens for payments economics- from payment volume growth, take rate, FX and interchange fees, fraud/risk costs, to profitability - helping the business scale its embedded-finance motion responsibly.
What your day to day will look like:
1. ARR & Payments Ownership
- Own SaaS and Payments ARR forecasting (new ARR, expansion, contraction, churn, payment volume, take rate).
- Define, document, and evolve ARR and Payments methodology, ensuring consistency across Finance, Data, and RevOps.
- Act as the internal authority on revenue drivers: SaaS retention and expansion, payments attach, transaction economics.
2. Revenue Close, Forecasting & Planning
- Lead monthly and quarterly revenue close in partnership with Controllership.
- Deliver monthly/quarterly re-forecasts of SaaS and Payments ARR with clear variance explanations.
- Own the annual planning process for SaaS ARR and Payments, ensuring assumptions are aligned and scalable.
3. Payments FinTech Economics
- Track and forecast payment volumes, take rates, interchange, FX spread, and risk/fraud costs.
- Provide insights into unit economics of payments to drive margin improvements and profitability.
- Partner with Product and GTM on new payment flows, pricing strategies, and attach-rate initiatives.
4. Data, Tooling & Reporting
- Partner with Data teams to establish ARR & Payments dashboards, enabling self-serve visibility for execs and GTM.
- Ensure warehouse data definitions for ARR and Payments are consistent and auditable.
- Automate reporting processes to reduce manual work and ensure accuracy at scale.
5. RevOps & Commercial Partnering
- Partner with RevOps on target-setting to ensure quotas, payment attach rates, and KPIs drive the right financial outcomes.
- Provide financial modeling for pricing evolution, packaging strategies, upsell/cross-sell, and payments attach.
- Model financial impact of FX and fee structures on revenue and margins.
6. Cross-Finance Collaboration
- Strategic Finance & IR: Align on revenue outlook, metrics, and board/investor narratives.
- FP&A Spend: Link top-line and payments growth to operating investments.
- Controllership: Reconcile ARR and Payments actuals with GAAP recognition and ensure strong controls.
Success in the Role
- ARR and Payments methodology is codified, automated, and trusted across the company.
- SaaS and Payments revenue close and reforecasting are predictable, timely, and accurate.
- Payments economics (volume, take rate, FX, costs) are clearly measured and optimized.
- RevOps targets and GTM strategy align to financial outcomes.
- Pricing/packaging and payments attach initiatives are translated into financial impact.
What you need to succeed:
- 8-10+ years in SaaS/FinTech commercial finance or payments finance.
- Advanced modelling, SaaS & payments KPIs, and forecasting. Knowledge of payments unit economics (take rate, interchange, FX, fraud costs).
- Strong partnership with Data teams on metrics, dashboards, and warehouse definitions.Commercial acumen, with experience evaluating pricing and packaging strategies as well as payments economics.
- Strong collaboration skills, with a track record of partnering across Finance, RevOps, GTM, and Product.
