We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Senior Manager Commercial Finance, reporting to the Executive Manager – Commercial Finance.

A bit about your role

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic commercial finance support to EGM/GM leadership teams and business units, ensuring delivery of nbn’s long-term business plan across HFC, Fixed Wireless, Satellite, and Regional Co-Investment programs.

This position drives financial outcomes through transparent analysis, decision support, and active influence at leadership level, while leading cost optimisation initiatives and managing financial planning, forecasting, and commercial pricing.

Additionally, the role involves direct engagement in business cases, contracting, and third-party negotiations, as well as fostering team capability, inclusive leadership, and transformational thinking across Finance and stakeholder domains.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting (CA/CPA preferred) and bring experience in financial and commercial management within complex, customer-centric industries such as Telecommunications, Infrastructure, Construction, or Technology.

They will demonstrate proven leadership in strategy, operational delivery, financial reporting, and advanced analytics, with expertise in financial systems like Hyperion.

Finally, exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior levels are essential, along with strong planning, problem-solving, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, high-quality analysis and commentary.
