Job Description

NCS Australia isn’t your typical tech consultancy, and this isn’t your typical comms role. We are looking for a storytelling engine—someone who doesn't just follow a script but writes a better one.In this dual-impact role, you will be the lead architect of our external voice, developing high-octane strategies that transform our technical depth into national headlines and global influence. Reporting to the NCS Senior Director of Strategic Communications in Singapore, with a strategic dotted line to the Australia Marketing Lead, you will sit at the crossroads of local impact and global ambition.

Your remit is broad and your impact is deep. You will be responsible for building and executing the annual Australian communications plan, localising our "Intelligentisation" narrative to showcase AI-first solutions across Public Service, Enterprise, and Telco sectors. This is a role for a master orchestrator: one day you’ll be partnering with local Marketing and People & Culture teams to run integrated campaigns; the next, you’ll be collaborating with our Singapore HQ on APAC-wide programmes for our Strategic Business Groups (SBGs). From landing Tier-1 media placements to steering our reputation through complex issues with a steady hand, you are the guardian of our brand, ensuring our storytelling is data-driven, cohesive, and always one step ahead.

We are looking for someone to elevate our leaders into industry icons. You will sharpen executive voices for the national stage, securing high-value speaking engagements and crafting "must-read" thought leadership that cuts through the noise. By bridging local Australian moments with regional programmes, you ensure that our brand identity remains sharp and compliant while staying deeply relevant to the Australian market. At NCS, we see constraints as creative prompts—this is your chance to lead the conversation in a company that is actively shaping the future of the digital economy.

Qualifications

You are a Challenger—a creative problem-solver who thrives on pace and knows how to make complex tech feel human. To thrive in this environment, you will bring:

  • The Experience: Extensive experience in external communications, branding, and media relations. You likely have a background in the technology consulting sector, and if you’ve managed regional or APAC-wide programmes before, you’ll have a significant head start.

  • The Craft: You have extraordinary writing skills. Whether it’s a punchy LinkedIn hook, a national media release, or a deep-dive opinion piece, your prose is crisp, confident, and unmistakably on-brand.

  • The Tech Obsession: You genuinely LOVE learning about technology. You’re the one following the latest AI breakthroughs before they hit the mainstream, and you can translate fast-changing tech developments into compelling stories for our clients.

  • The Presence: You have the "interpersonal glue" and confidence required to advise senior leaders and connect with global peers. You are resilient, adaptable, and culturally savvy, with a knack for building genuine connections with journalists and KOLs.

  • The Digital Edge: You are a digital native who understands how to leverage corporate social media and data-driven tools to measure results and optimise your strategy.
