A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Manager, Disruption Management, reporting to Executive Manager, Disruption Management as part of the Resilience & Asset Management function.
A bit about your role
The Senior Manager, Disruption Management, is responsible for strengthening nbn’s Disruption Management capability by overseeing the Crisis Management and Emergency Management systems that support organisational readiness for major disruptions. It leads the development and delivery of training, testing, exercising and debriefing programs, and coordinates external strategic level exercises with key stakeholders when required. The position also serves as the primary crisis coordinator during significant events, guiding senior leaders through response activities. In addition, the role supports continuous improvement of the disruption management framework, integrates with broader resilience programs, maintains strong industry partnerships, and manages governance, assurance and performance reporting across the capability.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate brings strong capability in crisis management, with experience in emergency management, cyber resilience, business continuity, disaster management or security risk. The ideal candidate has proven experience designing and enabling training programs and navigating real‑world emergency or crisis events. They also will have sound commercial judgement, skilled at coordinating people in high pressure situations and experience in telecommunications or a similar environment.
The role requires the ability to work confidently with senior leaders, communicate clearly in written and verbal formats, and influence outcomes across diverse teams. Strong planning and organisational skills, the ability to manage concurrent priorities and eligibility for a government security clearance are essential.
