Your opportunity

New Relic is looking to add a key member to our APJ leadership team. The Senior Manager, Acquisition Sales, Australia  will assume responsibility for growing our regional sales organization in the region. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused industry leader with a proven track record of leading a technology business across the India market having experience in growing revenue in enterprise segments, commercial sales, and providing cross-functional leadership.
 
You must have the ability to lead and support the pursuit of major sales activities in addition to being a general manager for the Australian holistic business. You know how to create and manage the synergy among business development, operations, sales engineering, proposal, and contracts functions. In addition to leading new logo growth, you’ll be responsible for leading the extended teams to drive the growth of adoption in the existing enterprise and commercial customer base.

What you'll do

  • You will passionately lead, drive and deliver the New Relic vision in the context of the Australian market
  • You will define and lead the culture in the India offices embracing the New Relic values
  • You will drive the growth of existing accounts and acquire new customers in both the enterprise and commercial segments.
  • You will lead and manage sales representatives, including organizational quotas and development
  • You will create and drive new and strategic go-to-market plans to meet company growth and market share goals.
  • You will provide strategic executive leadership for the Australia team including sales forecasting, territory assignments, sales coaching, and commission planning.
  • You will coach sales teams by helping structure sales opportunities and deals; further, assist with selling activities as appropriate; Ensure the sales team is working collaboratively with operations, sales engineering, partners, and other internal/external teams.
  • You’ll develop annual sales forecasts using a combination of top-down and bottom-up input.
  • You’ll strive to keep ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and client opportunities; Attend trade shows, industry events, internal meetings, and conferences.
  • You’ll oversee regional customer satisfaction and renewals.
  • You will lead recruitment and retention activities.
  • You will be an external brand advocate and PR lead for New Relic in Australia 

 

This role requires

  • Experience of sales leadership for high-performance sales and GTM team
  • Direct experience in the SaaS Application Performance Monitoring industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated GTM leadership experience and track record of success in the Australian market
  • Experience in both enterprise and commercial business segments is strongly preferred
  • Ability to build and lead a sales organization, including quota-carrying and forecasting experience.
  • Exceptional cross-organization collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience devising sales strategy and developing/contributing to enablement programs.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Previous PR and media experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or some related discipline is required.
  • MBA preferred.

  • Demonstrated Enterprise account sales leadership experience and track record of success
  • Ability to build and lead a sales team, including quota-carrying and forecasting experience
  • Excellent cross-organization partnership and communication skills
  • Experience devising sales strategy and supplying to enablement programs
