Overview of the role
The Revenue Operations team is a critical part of Advanced Navigation's global go-to-market organisation. The Senior Manager, Field Operations and Sales Support, has critical responsibilities for delivering smooth and efficient processes in the quote-to-cash cycle. Within this context, you will lead a global team of Business Partners with responsibility for quotes, bid management, sales support and delivery of the activities needed to book, invoice and collect from customers. You will also play a vital role linking the commercial side of the business to manufacturing, enabling the effective management of inventory and lead times.
Role & Responsibilities
- In this role, you will lead the team responsible for:
- Validation of purchase orders, issuance of sales orders and processing of bookings
- Provision of bid management support, including preparation of responses for RFPs / RFQs
- Supporting price quotes, direct to customers, for Senior AEs
- Review of customer “terms and conditions” when relevant
- Preparation of Department of Export Control applications as required
- Coordinating shipping of orders in consultation with the Logistics function
- Provision of lead time information to the Sales Team
- Maintenance of accurate information in the CRM and ERP systems to reflect accurate Sales data
- Tracking and realising revenue through order fulfillment
- Ownership of all sales operations policies and rules of engagement
- Insights and analysis into regional sales performance
- Review / validation of regional sales forecasts prepared by the Heads of Sales
- Support for Management and Board reporting
- Input into the go-to-market strategy
In addition, you will hold broader responsibilities in support of the GTM strategy and organization effectiveness:
As a member of the GTM leadership team, you’ll also play a key role in supporting and enabling cross-functional initiatives across go-to-market, in collaboration with your colleagues.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelors degree required, advanced degree beneficial (e.g. MBA)
- 5+ years experience in a leadership role with Sales Operations
- Direct experience of managing bookings processes and Field Operations required (e.g. Bid Management, Sales Support, Deal Desk)
- Prior experience developing and implementing operational processes and ROE
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with Salesforce essential
- Proficy with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides
