Job Description

Join TAL as a Senior Manager – Finance Operations, where you will deliver high-quality support to TAL’s various business units. Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, you will lead a team of three individuals and collectively be responsible for producing monthly results concerning all financial reporting for statutory, regulatory, and management purposes.

This is an 11-month fixed term contract, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the team to execute day-to-day finance operations, including executing actuarial models for reporting purposes, ensuring timely analytics delivery, and driving continuous improvement through technology and data analytics
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimise the process
  • Facilitate the management of the team's workflow
  • Support team learning and development through on-the-job training and other initiatives
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with finance, actuarial teams, and key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or equivalent
  • Strong experience working within the Life Insurance industry
  • Financial reporting experience including AASB 17
  • Prophet modelling experience
  • Leadership teams
  • Experience in automation tools, desired
