The opportunity

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Group Enterprise Risk Management to lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and CPS220 processes globally. This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and timely risk insights to senior executives, risk committees, and the Board. As a senior leader within the Group ERM team, you’ll take a hands-on and agile approach, providing strategic direction and operational leadership across all areas of ERM, being a trusted partner to the Group Head of ERM to execute the enterprise-wide risk strategy.

You’ll work collaboratively with the Group Head of ERM, the Chief Enterprise Risk Officer, Group Compliance, Divisional Risk teams, and broader business units to embed risk management practices across the organisation. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving excellence in enterprise risk.

Your new role

  • Lead strategic ownership and global coordination of enterprise-wide risk processes and architecture (e.g. Risk Management Declaration (RMD), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Risk and Control Library (RCL), Coordinated Assurance).

  • Ensure risk processes are fit-for-purpose and aligned with organisational and risk strategy through stakeholder consultation.

  • Monitor emerging ERM trends and assess implications for the Risk Management Framework.

  • Drive strategic initiatives and lead project teams to deliver outcomes aligned with enterprise risk priorities.

  • Oversee internal and external reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including CPS220 Triennial review.

  • Manage CPS220 findings and observations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Prepare and deliver risk reports and briefings to senior management, risk committees, and the Board.

  • Provide expert advice and support to the business on the Risk Management Framework and regulatory standards.

  • Build and maintain strong global relationships to influence outcomes and foster collaboration across risk and audit teams.

  • Support team leadership through coaching, knowledge sharing, and promoting high performance across broader ERM deliverables.

About you

To be successful as the Senior Manager, Group Enterprise Risk Management you will have extensive experience within Enterprise Risk within a large complex financial services organisation.

  • Strong global leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively.

  • Expertise in risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret risk language and drive change.

  • Solid understanding of risk standards, financial services, and organisational structures, plus awareness of industry trends.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to work independently under pressure while meeting deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive and resourceful approach.
