JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing Experience (IMX) - Design (Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea)

Reports to: Senior Director, Integrated Marketing Experience (IMX) - Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Location: Sydney, Australia

ASEAN & South Pacific (ASP) Operating Unit (OU) Marketing is undergoing a step-change to deliver more balanced, sustainable growth, powered by deeper consumer intimacy, stronger integration, accelerated innovation, and data- and tech-enabled precision marketing. The organization is designed to combine local relevance with scale, shift data and technology from experimentation to competitive advantage, and operate through execution with clear accountability for impact and ROI. All roles operate within a tightly integrated OU–Market model, where the OU elevates and enables strategic growth + OU-wide platforms while markets integrate, execute, and track performance with speed and rigor while developing local content, partnership and experiences.

Focus, Scope, & Impact:

As an individual contributor, you will be operationalizing the IMX Design & Creative Excellence model in-market by translating OU standards and systems into high-quality, performance-ready brand experiences across physical digital, and retail commerce touchpoints. This role is the execution engine for design under IMX—ensuring visual identity, packaging, VIS, and creative assets are delivered with speed, consistency, quality, and measurable business impact.

Deliver distinctive, consistent, and performance-led brand experiences by executing and scaling OU design systems, governance, and ways of working in-market.

  • Deploy and localize the OU Design & Creative Excellence operating model, ensuring adherence to standards, workflows, and governance across visual identity, packaging, VIS, digital assets, and artwork production, in compliance with brand safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead execution of design excellence standards across packaging, VIS, and in-market brand assets, ensuring brand integrity and craft across all touchpoints.

  • Develop and adapt visual identity systems and packaging solutions for local brands, ensuring relevance, modularity, and scalability across SKUs and channels.

  • Apply design systems across end-to-end consumer and shopper journeys, connecting brand experience across online and offline environments.

  • Execute the creative & design model locally—from brief to production, adaptation, activation, real-time optimization, and learning—aligned to OU frameworks.

  • Leverage data, digital tools, and AI-enabled workflows to improve speed-to-market, accuracy, and creative effectiveness.

  • Manage budgets, agency rosters, pricing benchmarks, and utilization, ensuring cost discipline and value realization.

  • Lead and manage design and production agencies, ensuring quality, compliance, speed, and value delivery.

  • Partner with IMX, Creative, Media, Studio X, and Commercial teams to ensure design is performance-ready and activation-led.

  • Ensure disciplined end‑to‑end P2P process management across investments, enabling timely execution, financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

  • Prepare design performance dashboards and learning insights for market and OU reviews.

  • Drive capability uplift across internal teams and agencies by embedding OU principles, tools, and best practices, ensuring consistent adoption and continuous improvement in design and creative execution.

What Success Looks Like: A step-change in design speed, consistency, and effectiveness with brand assets, packaging, and experiences delivered faster, at higher quality, and with clear performance impact. The market operates with one design system, one way of working, and one performance standard—driving stronger brand love, shelf standout, conversion, and ROI through continuous learning and optimization.

Experience & Critical Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience across design, brand systems, packaging, VIS, digital assets, and artwork production, in agency and/or in-house environments.

  • Strong expertise in visual identity systems, packaging design, retail VIS, and asset adaptation across multiple SKUs and channels.

  • Proven experience executing enterprise design standards and operating models within matrix organizations.

  • Track record of managing budgets, pricing benchmarks, utilization, and agency rosters with strong cost and value discipline.

  • Hands-on experience working with design and production agencies, managing quality, timelines, and compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data, digital tools, and AI-enabled workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and creative effectiveness.

  • Experience collaborating across different teams to deliver performance-ready assets.

  • Strong operational mindset with ability to manage complex workflows and multiple stakeholders.

  • Passion for design craft, brand building, and continuous improvement.

 Communication focus:

  • Ability to translate strategy, standards, and performance needs into clear, executable design direction and briefs.

  • Strong relationship builder with internal teams, agencies, and production partners to drive alignment and delivery.

  • Ability to connect design outcomes to brand and business performance using clear, data-led narratives.

  • Ability to align stakeholders on quality, timelines, budgets, and trade-offs.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

  • Ability to influence through clarity, collaboration, and craft excellence, creating belief and accountability behind IMX ways of working.
