The opportunity

This newly established role of Senior Manager, Legal Partnerships within our Customer Delivery Partners team offers an exciting opportunity to drive excellence in Claims legal partnerships at QBE. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a robust performance framework to ensure the success of our Claims legal delivery partners, making a significant impact on our legal operations.

Your new role

  • Monitoring key legal strategies to achieve the best outcomes and developing a high-performance legal service for our Claims teams

  • Applying the right legal expertise at the right time, ensuring compliance with QBE's framework and legislative requirements, and closely collaborating with claims teams

  • Share management information on legal service trends, costs, and outcomes

  • Refine the legal service model to meet claims objectives

  • Build strong partnerships with legal panel providers, and lead performance meetings

  • Attend claims reviews for large, litigated claims

About you

  • Proven track record in legal management, preferably within insurance or a related industry, with a strong understanding of legal strategies and compliance

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with experience in handling complex, high-level legal matters

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive performance improvements within legal services

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and influence decision-making at all levels

  • Ability to work collaboratively with legal partners, providing legal expertise and ensuring compliance with company frameworks and legislative requirements
