​Join Tyro Payments as our Senior Manager- Pricing and lead dynamic pricing across banking and payments to drive sustainable revenue, margin growth, and competitive edge. You’ll design and implement technical, competitive pricing frameworks for both front- and back-book customers, and steer commercialisation by partnering closely with Product, Growth, Finance, and Technology to ensure pricing decisions strengthen Tyro’s position across all portfolios.

You’ll optimise, streamline, and automate pricing and performance models and processes to lift commercial insight and speed of decision-making. Success in this role calls for a deep understanding of the four-party card payments model (issuers, acquirers, cardholders, merchants) and the role of schemes such as Visa, Mastercard, eftpos, and Amex—informing pricing strategy, product development, interchange management, and competitive positioning.

What You'll Do:

  • Design dynamic pricing strategies that incorporate technical and competitive pricing across Tyro’s comprehensive product suite for both front book and back book customers, ensuring alignment with evolving market conditions and Tyro’s strategic objectives.

  • Create and enable principled re-pricing decision-making frameworks through efficient cross-functional collaboration with Product, Growth, Finance, and Technology to support scalable, transparent, and commercially sound pricing practices.

  • Construct and scale efficient, automated pricing processes and models to dynamically price within an increasingly competitive Payments and Banking industry, ensuring agility and accuracy in execution.

  • Act as the primary stakeholder, influencer, and collaborator in driving the evolution of pricing strategies that deliver sustainable, consistent, and elastic revenue, margin growth, and profitability.

  • Integrate pricing and product strategy by ensuring product design, feature development, and value propositions are directly informed by pricing elasticity, customer segmentation, and market positioning insights creating a cohesive go-to-market approach.

  • Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to embed pricing as a core lever of commercial management, linking it to performance metrics, portfolio profitability, and lifecycle management for both new and existing products.

  • Lead the governance and optimisation of deal management frameworks, ensuring pricing decisions for bespoke merchant or partner arrangements are consistent, value-accretive, and aligned with Tyro’s long-term commercial and product strategy.

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 2 Pricing Managers and 1 Pricing Analyst, setting clear goals, and performance standards.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, business, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, pricing analysis, financial modelling utilising big data

  • Advanced skills in programming (Python, R, SQL), Snowflake, Excel, Access, or other data analysis tools preferred. Familiarity with Tableau or Alteryx is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to various stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
