Reporting to the Head of Programs and Performance, the Senior Manager, Programs and Initiatives is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of key programs and initiatives within the Flight Operations portfolio, with specific focus in Flight Training. This role ensures oversight and centralised coordination of portfolio operational, commercial and customer readiness across all projects, aligning with strategic objectives and regulatory frameworks.
The Senior Manager, Programs and Initiatives will oversee program timelines, budgets, risks and the resolution of complex operational challenges. A key focus will be on ensuring robust governance, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external business units, including Workforce Planning, Flight Training Scheduling, Sustainability, and Fleet.
This role plays a pivotal part in driving workforce planning, system integration, training development, and process implementation to support seamless operational transitions. The role will champion a culture of continuous improvement and deliver initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Extensive experience leading complex programs and initiatives, ideally within large or operational environments.
- A strong background in designing and delivering business transformation initiatives that create measurable improvement.
- The ability to develop strategies and translate them into clear plans and business cases that drive outcomes.
- Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to identify performance improvement opportunities using structured problem‑solving, financial evaluation and data‑driven insights.
- Proven influencing and relationship‑management skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and build alignment.
- Excellent communication skills and a practical approach to navigating ambiguity and changing priorities.
- A high level of accountability, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
