Job Description
This Senior Manager role within the CMDB Experiences organization is pivotal to our engineering success. You'll serve as both a technical and people leader, guiding an engineering pod and shaping architectural decisions across domains. As we scale to support deployments exceeding 5 billion CIs, your leadership will be critical in driving innovation, mentoring an engineering team, and aligning teams with strategic company goals-including our transformation into an AI-first organization.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $168,900 - $295,600, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.

- Lead an engineering scrum team or functions within CMDB Experiences and foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
- Drive architectural decisions across domains, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions.
- Influence product and business strategy, especially in areas like AI adoption and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with product management, design, support, and engineering teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact solutions.
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, and development while maintaining a best-of-class engineering team.
- Work with product management, design, support and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions
Qualifications
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- 4 + years of engineering leadership experience, including direct management of engineering teams and ownership of large-scale technical initiatives.
- 6+ years of experience in application development, system architecture, and production support for enterprise-level solutions.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and strategic influence.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, enabling empathetic mentorship and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience integrating AI into workflows, decision-making, or product development.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, C++, Ruby, Shell, or JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS, or Bootstrap.
