We’re looking for a strategic and supportive Senior Manager to guide our sourcing and procurement function within Technology. You’ll build and embed best-practice frameworks, foster strong supplier relationships, and enable commercial and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new capability from the ground up, working closely with internal mentors and external partners to deliver value, mitigate risk, and support transformation across the business.

Let’s talk about you

You’re a thoughtful and strategic professional who thrives on building strong partnerships, creating clarity in complex environments, and delivering meaningful outcomes. You bring a collaborative mindset, a deep understanding of procurement, and a passion for enabling others to succeed. With a calm and secure approach, you balance commercial insight with empathy, and you’re energised by the opportunity to shape something from the ground up. 

  

  • 8+ years in sourcing/procurement roles, including 3+ years in technology category guidance 

  • Proven success in building procurement capabilities from scratch 

  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations 

  • Experience managing complex vendor relationships and contractual arrangements 

  • Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, including C-level mentors 

  • A growth mindset, high integrity, and a data-informed approach 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Law, or related fields (preferred) 

  • CIPS or similar procurement certifications (desirable)

  • Design and embed ABB’s technology sourcing and procurement strategy 

  • Support sourcing initiatives across software, hardware, cloud, telco, and services 

  • Implement scalable procurement processes, tools, and governance 

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from needs assessment to performance management 

  • Optimise cost structures and contract terms through thoughtful negotiation 

  • Proactively manage supplier risk, compliance, and total cost of ownership 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to technology and business mentors 

  • Provide early, solution-oriented procurement advice that adds real value 

  • Facilitate executive visibility of procurement performance and opportunities
