The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Strategic Planning based in our Macquarie University Global Headquarters. In this role, the successful candidate will lead the development of strategic planning processes, consolidation and reporting of global financial forecasts. and business planning analytics. You will drive finance transformation initiatives and long-range financial planning requirements and deliver high-quality insights and reporting to support decision-making at Executive and Board levels.

Responsibilities include:
· Participation with transformation team, finance and other partners globally to establish simple, consistent and global processes and reporting

· Work with partners to develop and roll out improvements to Integrated Business Planning process

· Lead the development and roll out of revised 5-year plan modelling

· Support annual financial planning processes including Budget, Forecasts, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and Enterprise Planning cycles.
· Deliver accurate and insightful financial reports and analyses for the Executive Team and Board.
· Link forecast, IBP and Enterprise Planning business drivers with strategic plan assumptions to critically evaluate performance against strategic objectives

· Provide business partnering support, challenging assumptions and identifying business opportunities.
· Maintain effective financial controls and governance to ensure data integrity and compliance.
· Lead, develop and coach a team member to deliver strategic planning objectives.

About You
As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:
· Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA) or working towards.
· 8+ years' business partnering experience in a multinational organisation.
· Strong financial and business analysis skills in complex operating environments.
· Successful track record in FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
· Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation and strategic planning processes.
· Advanced financial modelling skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
· Experience with ERP and BI systems (e.g., SAP).

Ideal:
· Experience in a high-tech finance function, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
· Strong background in finance systems design, implementation, and optimisation.
