This role

As our Marketing Analytics Lead, you will turn complex marketing data into clear stories and actionable insights that drive smarter decisions and faster action. This role transforms raw data into insight that explains what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what to do next - helping marketing and commercial teams focus on the few things that truly move the needle.

You’ll build reliable dashboards, models, and analyses that answer key questions and guide strategy across campaigns and channels. By connecting stakeholders with trusted, decision-ready insights, you’ll strip away noise, highlight opportunities, and make it easier for the business to understand performance at a glance.

At its core, this role bridges marketing, data, and strategy - delivering analytics that are not only accurate and timely, but clear, reusable, and ready for action.

You will

Turn Marketing Data Into Decisions

  • Convert complex marketing datasets into clear, actionable stories with strong recommendations.
  • Explain campaign and channel performance - what moved, why it moved, and what to do next.
  • Translate analytics and attribution results into business language that leaders understand and trust.
  • Highlight key growth and efficiency levers across acquisition, engagement, retention, and ROI.

Deliver Targeted Insights Projects

  • Lead high-value analytical projects such as: conversion funnel diagnostics, campaign effectiveness reviews, audience segmentation, and retention analysis.
  • Build dashboards and reports using tools including Tableau, Looker, SiSense, and Google Analytics that reveal performance patterns and guide investment decisions.
  • Design and improve data products that make key metrics accessible, trusted, and visually engaging.
  • Partner with data engineering to refine data models, pipelines, and metric consistency across marketing datasets.

Deliver and Evolve the Data Roadmap

  • Contribute to the marketing data and insights roadmap, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to standard, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Plan work in collaboration with the Data Intelligence Lead - surfacing risks early and maintaining stakeholder visibility.
  • Transform one-off requests into reusable dashboards, metrics, or templates that scale across teams.
  • Document definitions and maintain governance to ensure consistency and clarity in reporting.

Partner for Business Impact

  • Work closely with Marketing, Digital, and Commercial stakeholders to identify key questions and define success metrics.
  • Present findings clearly, linking insights to actions, owners, and expected business outcomes.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with concise, story-led updates that avoid data overload.
  • Track whether insights lead to measurable improvements in marketing performance.

Build Once, Use Often

  • Maintain a library of reusable dashboards, marketing data models, and reporting templates.
  • Support self-service analytics adoption across the business by producing guides and training where needed.
  • Continuously improve usability by monitoring engagement with analytics tools and refining based on feedback.

Strengthen Data Quality and Collaboration

  • Validate key data fields and metrics before release to sustain confidence in reporting outputs.
  • Flag issues early and partner with Data Platforms to resolve root causes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on metrics, definitions, and governance.
  • Share learnings openly to uplift the analytics capability of marketing and broader teams.
Who you are

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with natural curiosity to uncover the “why” behind the data.
  • Hands-on experience in marketing analytics, digital measurement, and insight delivery.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or SiSense for visualising marketing and performance data.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and related marketing data sources, attribution tools, and campaign tracking frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, querying, and ETL concepts, with an ability to validate data and perform QA on dashboards and metrics.
  • Proven experience translating complex, multi-channel performance data into dashboards, metrics, and insights that drive real business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling ability - able to explain complex results in simple, actionable business language.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and adaptable - comfortable managing multiple requests and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on consistency, clarity, and measurable impact.
