 Due to continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our Professional Services Team. 

 The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the effective execution of infrastructure projects that involve Firewalls, SD-WAN, Switching, Wireless, NAC and integration with Service Provider Core Network, Azure Networking and Windows AD Services.  

This role will be based in Melbourne (preferable), open to consider candidates in Sydney and Brisbane.

Responsibilities 

  • Planning, designing, and executing wired and wireless network solutions, along with the assessment and improvement of current network infrastructures.  
  • Delegate workload and guide project engineers to achieve successful delivery within their technical domain.  
  • Provide technical guidance to new clients and collaborating closely with presales Solution Architects for comprehensive project delivery. 
  • Collaborate with the Service Provider Team to support the maintenance and enhancement of the Core/MPLS network and subsequently, conduct internal training sessions for engineers as needed. 
  • Establish a consistent approach to delivering common solutions by generating Effort Estimates, Guidelines & Best Practices, Testing Templates, As-built documentation, and other project artefacts. 
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to develop schedules and manage variations while ensuring solutions are aligned with the design, statement of work, and scheduling milestones during delivery. Be accountable for project delivery from inception to closure. 
  • Travel to customer sites for project-related tasks as needed including engaging in design discussions with potential clients 
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years in Architecture, Design, Implementation and Leading Projects with highly skilled Network Engineers specialising in Service Provider Core Network, Firewalls, SD-WAN, Switching, Wireless, NAC and integration with Azure Networking and Windows AD Services. 
  • Must have current certifications in Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (NSE4, NSE6, NSE7), Cisco (CCNP/CCIE) and/or Aruba Switching/Wireless Stack (ACSA, ACMP) or equivalent certifications. 
  • Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of networking technologies including vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto. 
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of following technologies. o Next Gen Firewalls (FortiGate ‘preferred’, Palo Alto and Cisco Meraki) o Routing (FortiGate, Cisco and Meraki) o SD-WAN (FortiGate ‘preferred’ and Meraki) o Service Provider Core/MPLS network o Switching (HP/Aruba ‘preferred’, FortiGate, Cisco and Meraki) o Wireless (Aruba ‘preferred’, FortiGate, Cisco, Meraki) 
  • Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Professional Consulting Services, Internet Services Provider, or similar organisation.
