Senior Payroll Consultant

Findex is seeking a Senior Payroll Consultant to join our Managed Payroll division. You will collaborate with a team of experts from Big 4, mid-tier, and commercial backgrounds to provide high-quality service to our clients. 

Your responsibilities will include managing payroll for a diverse portfolio across the mining, aviation, agricultural, and non-profit sectors. These clients range in scale from 1 to 1,000 employees. You will ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery for both Australian and international organisations. 

Your role, your contribution! 

• Work closely with the payroll team to process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for both local and international clients. 

• Manage regulatory compliance obligations such as Payroll Tax, STP reporting, Superannuation and Salary Packaging 

• Manage client relationships including attending meetings and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Assist with ad hoc projects including new client implementations. 

• Continuously develop a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation so our clients remain compliant. 

• Experience using Keypay or Payroll Metrics payroll systems is preferable, but not essential. 

• Computer literacy across a range of Microsoft products in particular Excel.

What you bring to the role! 

• At least 5 years of Australian payroll experience  

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced payroll environment will be highly regarded 

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, providing support and assistance to other team members 

• Ability to work to deadlines and have a genuine customer service first focus 

• Experience using Payroll Metrics or Keypay payroll systems is preferable, but not essential 

• Computer literacy across a range of Microsoft products, in particular Excel
