The Senior Pharmacy Marketing Manager plays a critical role as the sole marketer developing the retail pharmacy marketing strategy and omnichannel plan for all of Pfizer Australia, including the prioritized vaccines and medicines targeted for the retail pharmacy sector.
As Pfizer Australia is looking to grow and innovate in the retail pharmacy sector, the Senior Pharmacy Marketing Manager will be required to engage and activate key stakeholders through collaboration with local, regional, global and cross functional colleagues to bring new ideas and innovative solutions to accelerate the retail pharmacy channel. This role is responsible for creating plans and strategies in accordance with policies and global guidelines. There is an international focus on the pharmacy channel for Pfizer.
This role works in close collaboration with numerous Commercial Brand Leads as well as the Pharmacy Account Manager and the newly formed Pharmacy retail customer facing team. This role is the retail pharmacy category champion for Pfizer Australia.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the organisation's understanding of retail pharmacy, how it operates, the stakeholders involved and the customer flow, as the category champion for Pfizer
  • Development and implementation of the retail pharmacy Strategy and marketing plan including omnichannel plan for Pfizer Australia and prioritized vaccines and medicines, in close collaboration with the Commercial Brand Leads and Pharmacy Account Manager
  • Works with an agile mindset to innovate on what opportunities can be pursued within retail pharmacy.
  • Establish a good working relationship with the local and global cross functional teams to execute the pharmacy strategy and adapt and implement global/regional strategic guidance
  • Create collective advantage opportunities in the retail pharmacy channel
  • Analyses the pharmacy channel using data analytics and insights to develop and refine the strategies and tactics
  • Monitoring overall progress and utilization of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
  • Tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances of the pharmacy channel
  • Partner with finance on operational planning target definition, for revenue and direct marketing expenses as well as plan and manage deployment financial resources to meet marketing milestones
  • Build and sustain effective communications & valued partnership with external key partners
  • Develop tactics to communicate brand messages effectively and efficiently to customers, with interconnected and consistent provider journeys across solutions.
  • Shapes and leads the development of rapidly created agile and modular content using available tools.
  • Drives channel strategy and interactions, leveraging customer insights along the journey.
  • Adopts best practices for omnichannel marketing activities to improve efficiency (e.g., deep understanding of analytics to efficiently interpret complex dashboards)
  • Leads efforts to develop or adapt innovative and integrated digital omni-channel strategies to build proficiency in Customer Experience.
  • Embeds foundational analytics capabilities (e.g., global dashboards, tracking/reporting of metrics and KPIs) via coordination with global analytics teams and rapidly adjusts engagement approach based on new insights.
  • Uses real-time customer behavior to sharpen customer segmentation and execution of marketing mix.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Leadership skills with personal integrity and the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Deep understanding of product life cycle management and the pharmacy channel as well as being customer obsessed
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal as well as written communications.
  • Able to interact, influence and work effectively with all levels of management with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills through a demonstrated ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and budgets
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, proactive, with the ability to manage priorities, handle multiple tasks with frequent tight deadlines, work well in team environments, and be productive when working independently with minimal supervision
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills, consistently demonstrating resourcefulness and perseverance through ambiguous situations, and be solution oriented with an ability to rapidly test content and channel mix to respond to real time customer behaviour
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to act fast in response to the external market, as well as the ability to work with confidential information
  • 5-10 years Pharmacy marketing experience in the pharmacy channel
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • FMCG / Pharmacy Customer Knowledge
  • An understanding of Category Management, Channel Management and patient insights
