NTT DATA is looking for a Senior Principal HR Business Partner to join our People and Culture team to continue to build on the culture of excellence in NTT. This role is a full time permanent position.
The Senior Principal People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner is a highly skilled and advanced subject matter expert, responsible for leading the delivery of P&C programs in a key business area serving as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to senior business leaders. This role contributes to the design and implementation of the P&C strategy, ensuring that strategies are translated into operational plans which form the basis for the deployment of P&C related projects.
The Senior Principal P&C Business Partner takes ownership of the execution of all programs developed by the relevant P&C teams in their stakeholder group and works cross functionally to deliver change by partnering with the wider business to align delivery.

What you'll be doing

Primary Duties

  • Leads the delivery of the people strategy including the People experience which aims to drive engagement, development and leadership capability of our people.
  • Act as a consultative business partner to the assigned stakeholder group by advising them of trends in P&C practices, the labour market, and general developments that could impact their people.
  • Takes ownership of the execution of all the programs developed by P&C/CoE Global, APAC and ANZ.
  • Lead organisational design and structural change initiatives to optimize workforce alignment with business objectives this will include strategic workforce planning
  • Develop and implement strategies to build leadership capabilities, ensuring effective assessment and development frameworks are in place.
  • Champion a high-performing culture through strategic talent management, succession planning, and development programs that align with our global People & Culture (P&C) model
  • Take ownership of the people manager group, providing guidance, support, and tools to enhance management effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Support teams and peers to align P&C initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs.
  • Assist in the deployment, management, and measurement of learning and development programs.
  • Acts as an anchor for change by driving the organization and management to accept and initiate change.
  • Guides the implementation of strategic P&C programs as required by the organization.
  • Support ongoing engagement of our people in the assigned stakeholder group through communication, information sharing, and knowledge management.
  • Bring subject matter expertise by using data for analysis and trend establishment to understand performance and productivity drivers in the relevant employee base.
  • Actively contributes to the growth and success of the business in the designated stakeholder group.​

What Would Make You A Great Fit?

Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Senior P&C Business Partner or Principal P&C Business Partner preferably gained within a global IT organisation.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing P&C strategy, policies and services.
  • Strong experience working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
  • Significant demonstrated experience with industrial relations, managing conflicts and sensitive issues and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Experience with implementing workforce plans that reflect organizational or departmental needs.
  • Strong experience leveraging technology including experience in P&CIS, LMS, e-Recruitment and Payroll systems.
  • Experience in driving and leveraging P&C Data and metrics for decision-making.

  • Significant knowledge of strategic P&C planning, talent management, and organisational development.
  • Expertise in performance appraisal processes, goal setting, and performance improvement techniques.
  • Ability to handle complex employee relations issues and resolve conflicts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Information Technology industry environment and business needs.
  • Ability to be seen as a trusted partner to key stakeholders and the wider business for all things People & Culture.
  • Understanding of the vast range of IT operations and service offerings.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Understands when to be assertive in approach coupled with confidence in the area of expertise and the ability to facilitate business conversations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate and influence key stakeholders.
  • Good conceptual insight and ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business.
  • Ability to manage assigned work processes.
  • Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously.

Education and Training

  • Advanced Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • AHRI Accreditation
  • Relevant vendor certifications
