The role

The key focus of this Sydney based role is delivering professional, end‑to‑end financial planning advice to support members in achieving their financial objectives. You will apply deep expertise to advise clients with complex needs while contributing to sustainable advice outcomes and strong client satisfaction. Besides, you will:

  • Have a strong focus on business development providing advice to new clients through self‑generated activity, referrals and promotional initiatives
  • Deliver comprehensive financial advice to members, including high‑net‑worth clients and senior university staff
  • Represent and promote UniSuper through seminars, webcasts and industry or campus events
  • Apply strong governance, compliance and professional standards across all advice activities
  • Contribute to advice innovation and improved efficiency, including the use of AI in advice delivery
  • Mentor and share best practice with Associate Advisers and other advisers within Professional Wealth Management

About you

You bring strong technical expertise and a client‑centred approach to delivering high‑quality comprehensive financial advice. You enjoy building trusted relationships, balancing commercial outcomes with professional standards, and contributing to a collaborative advice culture. Furthermore, you will have:

  • A strong track record of business development capability and client engagement skills
  • Demonstrated experience delivering holistic and fee‑for‑service personal advice
  • Sound knowledge of financial planning, superannuation, taxation, investments and social security
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • Experience presenting workshops and client education sessions
  • 7 years+ direct comprehensive financial planning experience in a ‘fee for service’ environment.
  • Relevant financial qualifications, FASEA and CFP (or working towards), with ongoing CPD
