A Snapshot
As Senior Procurement Manager based in our HQ in Singapore, you will report to the Associate Director – Sourcing & Execution and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in several ways:
- Lead the procurement strategy for high voltage equipment and services, ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals.
- You will take ownership and drive innovation of the end-to-end procurement process ensuring on time and flawless execution of RFPs till contract award.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the rapid expansion of our data centre operations.
Your Day to Day
- Manage and oversee the procurement of high voltage equipment both Primary and Secondary (high voltage transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and other related equipment) and services across APJ.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for high voltage equipment.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers of high voltage components, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Develop strategies to reduce procurement timeframes and de -risk delivery
- Conduct market analysis to stay updated on trends and innovations in high voltage technology.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to align procurement activities with technical specifications and project requirements.
- Develop risk management strategies for high voltage procurement to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Develop, execute and monitor to ensure on-time execution of tenders across multiple countries from supplier on-boarding, RFx initiation, pre-tender briefings, post-tender interviews and clarifications, proposal evaluations, negotiations, supplier recommendations till contract award.
- Achieve efficiencies through bidding, negotiation and strategic initiatives.
- Develop, lead and maintain measurable performance metrics including reporting tendering status, spend analysis, forecasting, lifecycle cost savings etc.
- Identify and onboard new vendors to ensure a reliable and robust supply chain in new and existing markets
- Understand customer requirements to establish and implement a robust procurement plan that deliver value to the business
- Understand trends in customers’ needs and concerns across categories and work with Category managers with a longer-term view.
- Work collaboratively with Category Managers to innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle.
- Identify best practices or issues and implement solutions to ultimately improve procurement service delivery and strengthen stakeholders’ partnerships.
- Collaborate with suppliers to promote sustainable practices that reduces environmental impact and enhance social responsibility.
- Ensure procurement practices adhere to AirTrunk’s sustainability policies and target
- Facilitate compliance with AirTrunk's supplier qualification process
- Provide inputs to support Supply Chain's optimization of the logistics function
- Partner with Supply Chain to build up materials management systems, processes, and tools
- Support the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program through the development and scoring of supplier commercial performance KPIs, attending Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) and delivering on any assigned action items
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Contract/Cost Management or Business Administration from an accredited university.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a performing procurement related work, contract negotiation and bidding, with 3+ years managing high voltage categories.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, work with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple functions to manage complex projects within cost and schedule to deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects within cost and schedule constraints.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Some travel may be required
