About us:

SKUTOPIA is a fast-growing Australian Technology Driven third party logistics Company (3PL). We’re building innovative ecosystems that power the booming e-commerce industry. Our team is driven to create innovative products, a sustainable planet and society, and on a mission to democratise and decarbonise logistics.

At SKUTOPIA, we offer unique products that are revolutionizing the e-commerce industry. Our SaaS solution empowers businesses to efficiently manage orders, inventory, shipping, and warehousing across multiple storefronts. Our RaaS (Robotics as a Service) solution, a testament to our deep technology focus, enables merchants to fulfil online orders at unprecedented speed and quality, leveraging our in-house software, AI, and computer vision technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with at least 4-5 years experience in Product Management and process analysis. Experience within startups and subject matter expertise in shipping / logistics / eCommerce / warehouse management systems would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and maintain the product strategy and roadmap by assessing opportunities and prioritizing initiatives that enhance value for the business, users, and operations.
  • Spearhead projects from conception to launch by working closely with cross-functional teams, particularly within the product trio (Product, Design, and Engineering) and Operations.
  • Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to identify and resolve opportunities and shortcomings in the existing product or process, driving iterative improvements.
  • Build strong partnerships with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on merchant and warehouse processes to guide the tech team and facilitate decision-making.

And Here Are Some Reasons We Think You Might Want To Join Us:

We think this is a pretty great role (but we are a little bit biased)

  • We believe in building things the right way, taking a fresh look at problems and not being constrained by “this is how it’s been done before”
  • We are customer obsessed and love driving business outcomes. Sounds like you? Come, join us :)
  • You’ll not encounter multiple levels of meaningless hierarchies. This role reports to the CPO who reports to the CEO, that’s it. You’ll have access to company leadership to get insights into the business context.
  • We get that life happens, and we will continue to support hybrid work.

How We Work:

We're all about empowered product teams and are fans of Marty Cagan. Our initiatives have discovery and delivery phases, and the product manager, product designer, and engineering team work closely together throughout the process.

We're mainly a remote and hybrid team and trust you to manage your own time. That said, we value collaboration and communication, so please reach out if you need help or can offer assistance. While we encourage most of the product and design team to come into the office twice a week, we recommend more in-office/warehouse time for this role, as our fulfillment center is right next door.

We use Linear and Confluence for project tracking, Slack and Google Meet to stay in touch, and we try to keep meetings to a minimum. We also have a monthly all-hands business update and make sure to recognize great work and celebrate our successes.

We understand that job descriptions may seem a bit daunting at times. If you think what we’re doing sounds interesting, we encourage you to get in touch for a chat.

When you join us, you’ll be an important pillar of a rapidly growing startup. From day one you will be challenged to take risks, think big and make an impact while getting lots of love and support from the team. With our expected growth over the next 12 months, this is a role with plenty of breadth and variety where you can grow with us and be proud of what we achieve together.

We proudly welcome people from all diverse backgrounds. When you join SKUTOPIA, we want you to bring your whole self to work and we value your unique contribution.

What's next?

If you're keen to find out more, apply now with your resume and we'll be in touch soon to schedule an initial screening call where we will walk you through the recruitment process. Usually, we kick things off with a “getting to know you” interview, then we’ll ask you to tackle a take-home challenge or case study, and wrap it up with a final interview.

Still on the fence?

We know that statistically, some groups are less likely to apply for a role than others, depending on their perception of whether they meet some or all of the criteria. If you have most of the things we're looking for, we encourage you to apply!
