Job Description
We have a permanent opportunity available as a Senior Product Manager to join our Group Life and Retirement business unit. Reporting to the Head of Product and Pricing, you will partner with various stakeholders to deliver innovative and contemporary product and client solutions to our customers.
In this role you will:
- Ensure product management plans/strategies are in place for a product portfolio to ensure profitability
- Define, develop and maintain up-to-date product documentation for Group Life and Group Salary Continuance including for tenders, proposals, policy documents, service level agreements and other required disclosure material
- Understand and negotiate complex contracts independently, complete drafting, and manage appropriate signoff and execution
- Know and track client portfolio rankings based on available research databases and be an expert with respect to client competitors
- Implement Product enhancement/upgrade/changes on a regular basis
- Be responsible for legislation/regulatory compliance of your portfolio
- Manage change and influence others to ensure compliance
- Run product workshops/training for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify new market opportunities or potential concerns
- Represent Product on internal projects/forums
- Create marketing/technical material
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business or related discipline
- Strong technical knowledge of life insurance products, with experience in interpreting, reviewing and devising detailed terms and conditions plus an understanding of pricing methodologies
- Outstanding analytical skills and methodologies
- Excellent time management, organisational, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of compliance and other legislative requirements
- Skilled at writing technical documentation with in-depth knowledge of MS Office suite
- Strong client relationship, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Knowledge of project management theory, desired
