The Senior Product Manager will own product strategy, drive product line development, evaluate market opportunities, and collaborate with engineering to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

The Product Management team brings our customer and user needs to life through drives our strategy and roadmap through a solid understanding of their challenges and ideas , developing solutions that provide real value, delight end users and ensure our customers success. Our team practices world class, product management based on agile and lean processes.
We're looking for an outstanding innovator to join our team in Wellington or Sydney. In this role, you'll be driving the product line strategy and roadmap through strong understanding of our customers’ problems and needs, developing solutions that provide demonstrable customer value, delight end users and ensure customer success, and help drive and grow the business. This role has people management responsibilities and reports to the Global VP Planning and Building Solutions.
A day in your role:
- Owns product strategy and annual roadmap– including compilation of market and competitor dynamics, sales performance and financial data, ROI analysis against market opportunity and coordinating road mapping activities that inform driving initiatives.
- Drive the product strategy and roadmap based on a detailed understanding of the vision, priorities, and requirements.
- As part of the product team for planning and building solutions you will provide input into setting the product strategies.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and act as an internal expert on competitive products, market, and technology trends.
- Provide insight into regulatory frameworks that Local Government operate within.
- Evaluate product opportunities, define , and communicate the product vision to achieve company objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of market problems and the existing customer base and pipeline for Objective’s planning and building solutions.
- Working with our world class engineering team to provide detailed requirements and customer outcomes, encouraging innovation in areas such as AI and bringing the customer voice to the business.

- Creative approach to problem-solving, innovation and issue resolution. Ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure that all work is meticulously completed.
- Deep interest in technology and its application in innovatively solving customer problems
- Ability to identify and rationally evaluate opportunities based on real customer feedback.
- Ability to define products for enterprise and SaaS delivery with a strong focus on delighting end-users.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory processes across Local Government.
- Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and remove ambiguity for the Product Development teams.
- Ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines, making intelligent and informed trade-offs while displaying initiative and flexibility.
What we don't want:
- The management of existing systems, infrastructure and so on is not the right fit for this role as we are looking for a software product manager who has been involved in ground up software development from detailed customer interviews through to design, specifications and iterative build.
