The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across the CoreMod department. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, managing large-scale infrastructure and network projects, and ensuring optimal vendor performance.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in testing, procurement, and people leadership, with a strong focus on simplification, automation, security, and obsolescence management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership Collaborate with senior leadership across CoreMod and the broader RBA to define, prioritise, and deliver strategic initiatives. Translate organisational goals into actionable project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
End-to-End Project Delivery Lead large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence. Apply best-practice project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to ensure successful outcomes.
Operational Excellence & Performance Management Identify and resolve inefficiencies in business processes to enhance team productivity and service delivery. Define, track, and report on departmental and vendor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
Vendor & Contract Management Lead large-scale procurement activities including RFQs, RFTs, and RFPs, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial objectives. Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships, ensuring performance aligns with contractual obligations and business needs.
People Leadership & Inclusive Team Management Lead and manage large, diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Collaborate and influence effectively across the Reserve Bank and with external partners. Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure transparency, alignment, and stakeholder buy-in at all levels.
Financial Oversight & Risk Management Monitor project budgets, vendor invoicing, and cost controls to prevent leakage and ensure financial alignment. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring business continuity and delivery resilience.
Technology & Data-Driven Decision-Making Leverage project management tools, procurement systems, and data analytics platforms to drive informed decision-making and performance tracking.
About You
This role requires extensive Infrastructure and Network understanding, and we are ideally seeking candidates who have worked on infrastructure or network related projects of significant scale and complexity. Please only apply if your previous experience entails working on large and complex programs exceeding $50 million.
