As our Senior Project Manager on an 18 month maximum term contract, you'll manage the complete delivery of a key project from system integration through to large-scale client migration. You'll work with developers, business leaders, and external partners to build something substantial that genuinely impacts the financial services landscape. When your work goes live, you'll see it in action, used by real people managing their investments

This role positions you at the heart of where business strategy meets technical delivery. You'll develop deep expertise across banking systems, trading platforms, and enterprise migration.

What you’ll be working on

You'll lead all aspects of the projects delivery, acting as the central point of coordination for this initiative. Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Planning & Stakeholder Alignment: You'll develop the project scope and objectives with both internal teams and external partners, translating business requirements into a feasible delivery roadmap. You'll also present status updates to the governance committee.

Delivery Coordination: You'll manage the intricate dance of internal resources and external vendors.

Risk & Issue Management: You'll identify potential problems early, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues that need executive attention.

Quality Assurance: You'll work closely with testers and business stakeholders to ensure the technical delivery meets requirements. You'll also collaborate with our marketing team to ensure client communications, branding, and collateral launch on schedule and to high standards.

Training & Rollout: You'll define the training strategy that prepares clients for the new system, ensuring a smooth transition from the old platform to the new one.

What will help you be successful?

Over 5 years’ experience in project delivery and technology solution implementation, with more than 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Proficient in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Possesses strong communication skills and holds Project Management certification(s) such as Certified Practicing Project Manager (AIPM), Project Management Professional (PMI), and/or Prince2 Practitioner.

You must have full working rights in Australia.
