Job Description

  • Lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
  • Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc
  • Managing project safety and environmental requirements
  • Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
  • Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
  • Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives
  • Co-ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery
  • Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates. Working closely with project team/s to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents
  • Bring strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS
  • Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction
  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years project management experience, preferably gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
