About the Role

The Senior Project Manager is tasked with providing project management services across a portfolio of large projects, from initiation through to closure, including definition, approach, planning, organising and technically leading and controlling the completion of allocated projects. The Senior Project Manager ensures all contracted projects are delivered to the highest quality standard, within scope, in budget and on time.

Please note, due to the nature of our client account, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve Australian Baseline clearance to be successful in your application for this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensuring preparation/completion of large projects to appropriate quality standards within time/cost constraints as well as meeting contractual requirements and company budget requirements.
  • Manage project teams operating on complex/large projects, typically in a complex, multi-platform technical environment.
  • Coordinating documentation, design, development and testing of enhancements and new development projects
  • Tailoring project methodology to individual projects when needed.
  • Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring project financials and the realisation of defined project benefits
  • Exceeding stakeholder expectations through the application of stakeholder management disciplines.

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking a resilient and adaptable team player to manage multiple mid to large-sized projects, who can bring a dynamic element to our existing professional project management capability.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience working on large complex projects.
  • Ability to build and lead collaborative project teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Broad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies.
  • Strong communication skills with proven experience of managing various stakeholders of all levels and the ability to tailor your conversations accordingly.
  • Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
  • Strong risk & issue management practices with a clear understanding of the impacts to project schedule, cost and scope.
  • Experience working with project management methodologies (including waterfall & agile) is essential.
  • Previous experience with network and end user computing projects as well as experience with state and federal government will be highly regarded
